Vampy

It is finally Spring! However, Boston seems intent on hanging on to those winter temps. With it still feeling like it is January outside, I have to say that I was not really feeling a post focused on spring fashion. Instead, I decided to focus on a few of my go-to favorites, which I incorporated into one outfit!

I regularly become "obsessed" with different things in fashion. I love reading up on new and upcoming trends, but deep down I believe that we will always have those pieces or looks in our arsenal that we can always rely on. These can be things like a great pair of jeans, that perfect tee, your favorite hat to cover up a bad hair day, your go-to makeup routine...the list can actually be quite long! Some of my absolute favorites are:

1) Head to toe black- Do I even need to say it?? All black everything is as simple as it gets when it comes to fashion. This is the easiest look to throw on the look instantly chic and put together. On top of it all, it requires such minimal effort. Lazy fashion girls (c'mon, we all have our moments) rejoice!

2) A red lip- I will be the first to admit that I am clueless when it comes to makeup. I didn't even own, let alone wear, face makeup until I started this blog and realized that I would be taking a lotttt of pictures and displaying my face for the world to see. With that said, I have loved a good red lip ever since that college Christmas party senior year, when I first rocked the shade. So, now whenever I feel like I need a little pop, I will throw on some rouge!

3) Neck Scarves- I have spoken for my love on neck scarves in the past, and I can very strongly say that this love will not be going anywhere any time soon. I am not a jewelry person. I wish I was, but the truth is that I am just not that great with accessories. For me, I rely on shoes, scarves, belts, and hats to bring that little something extra to an outfit! Neck scarves just happen to be one of my favorites because it brings the attention to your neck and collarbone, which I think are beautiful areas to highlight. Neck scarves are also a way that I, the lover of all black everything, can work some color into my looks!

Lastly, I just want to leave you with a quick note on your own personal style. As I mentioned before, I wasn't feeling styling a spring look for this week since it is straight up still registering as winter here in Boston. However, if you're like me and pay attention to whats going on in fashion, you're probably seeing nothing but spring looks. Sometimes there can be a lot of pressure to wear what is current in fashion, or to feel like you need to keep up with all of the current trends. However, I truly think that you should wear whatever you want! I wasn't up for wearing anything new or spring fashion focused, so I wore all black with a deep red lip! Fashion is all about your own personal expression. Figure out what you like and what makes you feel/look best, then go with that!
