Style Engineer

Anyone else ready for the long weekend?! I know that I am! I can't wait to get home and spend time with family and good friends. I can't wait to eat a bunch of amazing home cooked meals. And, I really can't wait to have four days of dressing casually and not for work...

I, probably more than most, love any good reason to dress nicely and look put together. With that said though, there comes a time where even I want to just keep it casual when it comes to my clothes. This time of year, I see myself tending that way more than normal. Maybe it is because of the holiday coming up, but I think it also has a lot to do with the short days and long nights, with little sunlight and cooler weather.

I'm posting this week's look because this is honestly one of the outfits that I am packing to bring home with me. You can honestly never go wrong with a great pair of jeans, a classic white tee, and any kind of sweater (when the weather is cooler)! I am also planning on packing my engineer hat, which is a new purchase for this season. I have been wearing this piece any chance that I get because I just love how it brings something extra to any outfit! What would be an otherwise simple and plain outfit in this post is taken to another level just by adding the hat to it.

As a funny side story for all of you this week, my boyfriend actually doesn't like my new hat very much. I don't bring this up to make him look bad. He's the best, but when it comes down to it, he's a guy, and sometimes guys just don't get fashion. I never let his opinions keep me from wearing what I think looks good though. And I do find it truly funny how guys can have such strong opinions solely because they simply don't understand women's fashion. So, this is just another reminder to all of you, that it doesn't matter what other people think of your outfit. All that matters is what you think of it! Have any of you had a similar situation like this? Tell me more in the comments below!
