Not including this week's weather, we are finally coming up on one of my favorite times of year for getting dressed up! I love the tail end of summer and beginning of fall when you can still wear your dresses/skirts/shorts and sandals, but you can top them off with a jacket, or sweater without wanting to die from heat stroke. That is exactly what I was channeling with this week's look! I bought the jacket that I am wearing in the beginning of summer, and honestly have only been able to wear it once because it has been such an overbearingly hot summer. I cannot wait till I can break out this piece more as things start to cool off in the coming weeks!
Something else I wanted to highlight in this week's post is in regards to shorts. Does anyone else kind of hate wearing them?? I feel as I get older I am far less inclined to wear shorts. They are always too short, or too tight, and I also just feel like it can be hard to look put together when wearing them. Anyone else with me on this?
You may have noticed that the few times I do post outfits with me wearing shorts, I am always wearing the same pair (they're in this week's look too). When it comes to shorts, I have learned that I like a certain style. I like when they are high waisted and flowy, or if they are structured and have a longer length to them. Shorts in these styles just tend to be much more comfortable and forgiving. I also feel that they tend to be more stylish! The only downside to this is that I have realized this style that I like is not always the easiest to find. So, to help all of you out, as well as to appease myself, I rounded up a few great pairs in this week's post. You can shop them, along with the rest of what I am wearing in the Shop This Look section at the bottom of the page! I will mention that some of these are on the pricier side, so if anyone sees this and wants to design some shorts in this style, at a more affordable price point...I'll be the first to purchase a pair!
