Top Tier

When it comes to trends, sometimes they can go as quickly as they came. For this reason I try to pick pieces that I know will be worth the investment down the road. There is nothing worse than spending too much money on something, only to have it be an embarrassment to wear 6 months later.

While this is a rule I usually try to stick to, I too sometimes fall victim to trends in fashion. Don't worry though, as I have a way to justify this when it does occur. Three words: Fast Fashion Retailers. You all are probably familiar with fast fashion, whether you know it or not. Think of stores like Zara, H&M, Forever 21...

There are also those websites you see where they are advertising very on trend pieces at prices that seem almost too good to be true. Well let me just say that they are not! One of these sites I checked out is SheIn. I will be 100% honest, and tell you that I had been hesitant to give sites like this a try. I always love the pieces that they have, but as someone who strives for quality over quantity, I worried I would find myself in a "you get what you pay for" situation. All of this aside, I decided to give it a shot!

When all was said and done, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of my little experiment! I got the awesome bell sleeved sweater that you see below in my photos. I styled the sweater in two different outfits, so that you all can see some different looks. You'll see I put together a look for the office and a look for everyday/going out after work.

I learned that the best part of all of this is that I can try out different trends without spending a ton of money. This way, I can see if there are certain trends that I like more than others, that I would want to invest more money into down the road.

So, as a final note, I would recommend giving SheIn a shot! If you have a trend you have really been wanting to try out, this site would be a great place to start without worrying about breaking your budget. One thing I would note, is to pay a lot of attention to the size/fit details of the items you plan to purchase!
