Sweet Summertime
As much as it pains me to say it, it is inevitable that summer is coming to an end. Technically speaking, the last day of summer is September 21st, but I think we can all agree that Labor Day weekend really feels like the end of summer.
Since my days of sundresses and sandals are coming to an end, I wanted to do one last post with a focus on the current season. In this weeks post I am wearing one of this years biggest prints, gingham. You cannot deny that gingham has been everywhere this year. It was sold among the likes of Missoni, Kate Spade, J. Crew, & even Old Navy. My top is from the latter brand, and I paired it with a flowy white midi skirt by 3x1, perfect for beating the heat while still looking put together. As much as I will miss the longer days and the warmer weather, there is something that always seems special about fall. Maybe I am reminiscent of my days going to school, but fall always seems to bring about this amazing energy, buzzing with new beginnings. There is always the added bonus of breaking out your fall wardrobe as well! Stay tuned for more of this in the coming weeks, but for now enjoy my last ode to summer :)
